On September 27, 2025, a heartfelt Memorial Service was held at the Taoist Temple in Seattle to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Shan-Tung Hsu – beloved teacher, friend, and founder of the Blue Mountain Feng Shui Institute.
The gathering was warm and intimate, bringing together students, friends, and colleagues who came to celebrate Dr. Hsu’s remarkable journey and lifelong dedication to sharing wisdom, harmony, and compassion. Over tea, attendees shared stories and memories, reflecting on his profound influence as a teacher and human being.
As Jenny Nakao Hones beautifully said:
“The Memorial was very nice and low key — I think Dr. Hsu would have been happy.”
Though the turnout was smaller than expected – as many of Dr. Hsu’s friends are themselves growing older – the atmosphere was filled with peace, gratitude, and the quiet strength that so deeply reflected his spirit.
Dr. Hsu’s teachings continue to inspire many around the world, reminding us that true harmony begins within. His legacy lives on in the hearts and practices of all who learned from him.
